German guitarist Billy Lorento became the first major endorser of Framus guitars with his own signature Framus model in 1953. After a long career as a performer that used many different stage names, he eventually moved to the United States and started working for Gibson and Dan. Armstrong, even modifying guitars for artists like Jimi Hendrix. Eventually, he began creating pickups under the name Bill Lawrence. This guitar is a new reproduction of its signature model from the time.
