Kalamazoo (Gibson) KG-2 Dakota Red 1960's

Named after the Gibson factory's hometown in Michigan, Kalamazoo guitars were produced from 1933 to 1942 and then from 1965 to 1970 as a sub-brand of Gibson.

Solid-body bodies made under the Kalamazoo name in the late '60s were similar to Fender offset bodies.

But this was replaced by an SG style body in 1968, which is the case for this model.

The KG-2 is specifically constructed with a two Melody Maker pickups and a fixed bridge.

Here is a very nice model from the late 1960s.
