Kalamazoo KG-1 Red from 1967

Named after the Gibson factory's hometown in Michigan, Kalamazoo guitars were produced from 1933 to 1942 and then from 1965 to 1970 as a sub-brand of Gibson. Solid bodies made under the Kalamazoo name in the late '60s originally used a very Fender-like body with uneven horns, but this was replaced by a more SG-style body in 1968. The KG- 1 is specifically constructed with a single Melody Maker pickup and a fixed bridge. Here is a very nice model from 1967.
