Fender
1976 Fender F-55-12 MIJ
The F-55-12 model was introduced in 1972 by Fender. It's a standard Dreadnought model but with 12 strings.
Furthermore, Fender, unable to face competition from instruments made in Japan, gradually decided to also produce guitars there.
And it was in March 1982 that Fender Japan officially came into existence through a partnership between Fender EUA, Yamano Music Instrument and Kanda Shokai.
This guitar dates from before the official establishment of Fender Japan in 1982 since it dates from 1976. Which makes it all the more interesting historically speaking.
The quality of guitars made in Japan was then recognized worldwide, and this guitar is no exception.
Here is a beautiful example of a 12-string from Fender made in Japan in the 1970's, certainly amplified in the following years, of which it still retains its microphone.
