Fender 400 Pedal Steel Blonde from 1959

It was Noel Boggs , Bob Wills ' lap steel player , who received the first steel Lap Steel made by Leo Fender in 1953. Thus Fender relied on leading performers to test his instruments in the field. And it was thanks to the feedback from these musicians that Fender put the Pedal Steel on the market a few years later. The latter allowed guitarists to change scales or chords simply by pressing a pedal. So, with several pedals they could easily navigate between scales and chords. Each pedal, through a set of springs, allows certain notes to be modified by increasing or lowering their pitch. The Fender Pedal Steel 400 was introduced in the summer of 1958. This model dates from 1959.
